ESB Networks System Upgrade
From Friday 1 August at 6pm until Monday 4 August at 2pm, ESB Networks (ESBN) is carrying out system upgrades. During this time, some online, renewal and Smart Pay As You Go services will be affected.
The following services are affected:
Online and renewal services
- Signing up for a new plan
You can sign up for a plan online via Compare our plans or Find a plan, but there may be delays processing your order. Don't worry, we’ll send you an email once your order is confirmed. You won’t be able to sign up for a new plan through your online account. - Renewals
Contract renewal functionality will be unavailable over the weekend. Your electricity supply will not be affected. We'll be in touch next week with any customers who missed their renewal deadline during this period. - Online account smart usage data
If you're on a half-hourly smart plan, smart usage data (including graphs) may not be available online for Saturday 2 August to Monday 4 August. This will be updated on your account once we receive the data from ESBN.
Smart Pay As You Go (SPAYG) customers:
- Online account
Your account balance may not be available until after the weekend, and payments may take longer to appear on your online account. You can still top up on your online account as normal. - Smart usage data
Smart usage data (including graphs) may not be available online for Saturday 2 August to Monday 4 August. This will be updated on your account once we receive the data from ESBN. - Energisation/De-Energisation
De-energisations are paused this week. However you should continue to top up as normal, to avoid debt building up on your account. For re-energisations over the weekend, please contact our out-of hours line on 01 514 3017. - Payzone top ups
Payzone top ups will not be available over the weekend. Please top up online.
