Financial support
SEAI Grants
A retrofit is a significant investment in your home, however, SEAI grants can help reduce the financial outlay.
At Bord Gáis Energy, we’ll guide you through every step of the SEAI grant process. We'll provide a personalised estimate of costs, deducting the value of available grants from the total cost of works upfront, so it reduces the amount you need to pay. We'll also manage your grant applications, ensuring the process is as seamless as possible and to help you get the most out of any available SEAI grants.

To make the process even more affordable, the Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme offers unsecured loans, which come with competitive interest rates, specifically designed to help homeowners finance energy efficiency upgrades.
The scheme is established and offered by the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI), is supported by the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) and benefits from a guarantee that has been provided by the European Investment Fund (EIF) and European Investment Bank (EIB).
Loans are currently available through financial institutions such as AIB, Bank of Ireland, and PTSB, with more expected to join.
