How do I view and download my exported electricity information?
To view your exported electricity information, you can download your exported electricity HDF. The exported electricity HDF is a file you can download from your online account showing how much electricity you've exported to the electricity grid over a given period. The HDF is displayed in daily intervals.
To view and download this information, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your online account. If you don't have an account, register here.
- From the Accounts page, select your electricity account.
- From your electricity account dashboard, scroll down to the 'Download' tab.
- Under 'Your energy export information', click the Download button. Your export file will download as a CSV file.
Your data will be based on a metered or deemed quantity depending on whether you have a smart meter installed. If metered data is not available, ESB Networks will send us deemed export quantities for your account. For more information on how deemed quantities are calculated, see What is Deemed Export Quantity?
If you believe the details in your exported electricity HDF are incorrect, please contact us.
Please note:
- It can take up to 8 working days for ESB Networks to send us deemed export data.
- If your power is at powered off status, you cannot use your micro-generator to export electricity. Micro-generators have protective devices which, for safety purposes, switch them off if the electricity supply is off or de-energised.
