How do I ensure my warranty remains active?

To keep your 10 Year Boiler Warranty active, you must have your boiler serviced by Bord Gáis Energy each year of the 10 year warranty.

To ensure your warranty remains active:

  • Have your boiler serviced by Bord Gáis Energy every year for the duration of the 10 year warranty. Don’t worry - we’ll send you an annual reminder that your boiler is due to be serviced.
  • Always contact Bord Gáis Energy to arrange a boiler repair appointment. If any other tradesperson services or repairs your boiler during the warranty period, without the agreement of Bord Gáis Energy, your warranty will no longer be valid.
  • Ensure any boiler related payments are up to date.

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions (link to be added) of your 10 Year Boiler Warranty could result in your warranty being terminated or deactivated. If your warranty is no longer active, we'll contact you to let you know.

You can check if your boiler is covered under the 10 Year Boiler Warranty by following the below steps.

  • Sign in (link to be added) to your online account. If you don’t have an online account, you can register (link to be added) in a few quick steps.

  • If your 10 Year Boiler Warranty remains active, the details of your warranty will be displayed on the next screen, where you'll see the name of your plan and confirmation of the start and end date.

  • At the end of your 10 Year Warranty, or if your warranty has been terminated for breach of contract, Bord Gáis Energy will contact you to confirm your warranty is no longer active.  When your warranty is no longer active, you will not be entitled to free repairs, parts, and engineer costs* if your boiler breaks down, but we do have alternative boiler repair options available.
