Can I leave my fixed term contract early?

If you choose to move to another supplier during your fixed term contract, you could be charged an early exit fee of €50.

You can move to another supplier, however an early exit fee of €50 will be charged to your account if you chose to do so before the end of your fixed term contract with Bord Gáis Energy.

You won’t be charged an early exit fee if you move out of your property or if you cancel within the cooling off period.

After you close your account, we only retain your personal data for a short period of time. If you require copies of your recent bills, please download these from your online account before closing your Bord Gáis Energy account, as they may not be available after you close your account.
