When will I receive my final bill?
You'll receive your final bill within 14 days from the day you’ve closed your account.
Most customers will receive their bill within 14 days of closing their account.
In some exceptional cases, it can take up to six weeks. These cases are normally due to confirmation of final meter reads with networks. Once this is clarified, we’ll issue your final bill. To prevent any delays, make sure to provide us with an up-to-date accurate meter read when requesting account closure.
On your final bill, there will be text at the bottom of the bill stating, 'This is your closing bill'. If you're a paperless customer, you can sign in to your online account to view your bills.
Please note: due to our obligations under data protection laws, we only retain personal information for as long as you have an account with us. If you require copies of your recent bills, please download these from your online account before closing your Bord Gáis Energy account, as they may not be available after you close your account.
