What billing options are available on smart plans?
For Standard Smart plan customers; you'll be billed every two months.
For all half-hourly smart plans you can choose to receive your bill every month or every two months. You'll also have the option to select your billing date.
You can sign up to paperless billing by following these steps:
- Sign in to your online account. If you don't have an online account, you can simply register.
- Select your electricity account.
- Once your account summary page opens, you'll see the paperless toggle. Switch on paperless billing by clicking the circle to the right of the screen. Once turned on, it will look like this:
If don't wish to avail of paperless billing, you'll receive your bill by post within five days of the date the bill is issued.
Please note that Level Pay is not available for smart plans. If you're paying your bills through Level Pay and switch to a smart plan, your Level Pay agreement will end and your total balance will be calculated and included in your first smart bill. If any balance is owed, this will be collected in full in your next direct debit payment.
