How do heat pumps work?
Heat pumps control your home’s climate by distributing heat already available in the air.
In winter, heat pumps transfer heat from the outside environment to the inside of your home to provide warmth and comfort. In summer, depending on your system design, heat pumps extract the heat inside your home and move it outside. A heat pump is a smart, sustainable and clean way to heat, cool, purify, and dehumidify your home.
Heat pumps are part of a group of technologies that include heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) These devices transfer heat and warmth from one place to another.
The heat pump is configured in such a way that you can control the levels of warmth around your home. This process can work in reverse - a heat pump can heat or cool the house as desired.
Your heat pump should be serviced annually to ensure optimal performance and to extend its lifetime.
