When will I receive the government electricity credit?
A scheme has been approved by the government to credit all eligible residential electricity customers with €250, in two €125 (incl. VAT) instalments. This will apply to both bill pay and prepay customers.
The credits will be applied to customer's accounts in two payment periods:
- the first occurring between 1 November 2024 – 31 December 2024
- the second occurring between 1 January 2025 – 28 February 2025
Eligible customers will have the first credit applied to their account by 8 November 2024.
Customers with an online account will be able to see the credit in the 'Bills and Transactions' tab on their account dashboard whenever it is applied. If you don’t have an online account, you can register here. Customers can also see the credit on their next bill after the credit has been applied.
