What happens if my credit is low and I can't get to a shop?
We understand that there may be situations when you can't get to your nearest Payzone outlet to top up your meter. That's why we have the option to add emergency credit to your meter, until you can top up again. The next time you top up, we'll simply take it off the credit.
It's best to only use emergency credit when you really need it, as you'll need to pay it back before you can use it again.
Electricity Meters: If the credit on your meter runs low, you’ll be offered €20 emergency credit. If you use all of your emergency credit, you'll need to top up by at least €25 to use it again. Click here to top up online.
Gas Meters: If the credit on your meter runs low, you’ll be offered €20 emergency credit. The next time you top up, 45% of your vend will be used against the emergency credit. For example, if you used €20 emergency credit and then top up by €10, €4.50 will be used to repay the emergency credit.
